Airtel has started deploying the pre 5G massive MIMO technology in its mumbai circle and will also expand its services to other circles. Following on this path many other telecom operator will also starts thier pre 5G massive MIMO technology. But do you know what is pre 5G massive MIMO technology. Pre  5G is the base of the upcoming 5G network services.


Deployed as part of Airtel’s ongoing network transformation program, Project Leap, the Massive MIMO technology will expand existing network capacity by five to seven times using the existing spectrum, thereby improving spectral efficiency. Customers will now be able to experience two to three times superfast speeds on the existing 4G network. Data speeds will now also be seamless, offering enhanced user experience even indoors, in crowded places and high rise buildings. It would enable multiple users and multiple devices to work simultaneously without facing any congestion or experience issues especially at hotspot locations.
Massive MIMO is a key enabler and foundation for technology revolutions to come. It is a pre-5G technology that will make the network future ready for meeting the data demand coming from digital revolution and data explosion in India. Customers can enjoy these faster data speeds on their existing 4G mobile devices without any upgrades or plan change. Massive MIMO deployment uses green technology and thus helps reduce carbon footprint.Massive MIMO creates 3D beams both on horizontal and vertical planes towards users located within its coverage footprint. This helps in improving coverage and reducing interference across users in different beams, thereby improving signal quality (SINR) by 2-3dB. Serving multiple users by re-using same set of resource blocks (MU-MIMO) with improved signal quality helps in improving user experience, cell capacity and spectrum efficiency.
Conclusion- By the use of this technology cellphone network tower will be able to  handle massive input and massive output (MIMO) at the same time. There are situation where we get full network signals in our devices but we don't get that much speed or even sometimes can't connect our calls, this happens due to increase load on the network happen due large crowd gathering. So, by the use of this technology many problems will be declined.

Outgoing Calls are now not free for JIO users!!!

Yes,you heard it right. Reliance Jio has published a notice on its official website  for every JIO user regarding outgoing calling charges. As per the notice users now  have to pay 6 paise per minute for every outgoing call which is made to a non Jio user. According to JIO, these charges are mandatory as per TRAI's rules. However these charges are in effect since 2017. Previously Jio was paying these charges from their own pocket, as they were the new player in the market. But now Reliance Jio has decided to charge these fees from their users. Now, you need to buy an additional top up voucher for outgoing calls to non jio users.
